Tenancy Support Officer Jobs

Tenancy support officer jobs fall within the Supported Housing team of a Housing Association. The role involves providing support and advice to supported service users and helping them resolve any problems which may occur during their tenancy.

A tenancy support officer could deal with young people (16-25), elderly, disabled, ex-offenders, drug users, single mothers and the homeless. Day-to-day duties will involve liaising with housing associations to ensure any problems regarding rent arrears, repairs, ASB are dealt with in a satisfactory manner.

Put your communication skills to the test in tenancy support jobs

Providing advice and help filling in benefit entitlement forms, writing support plans to ensure client is receiving correct care from all relevant parties, trying to rehabilitate clients back into the community eg gaining employment, working voluntary, joining community groups etc. are all part of tenancy support jobs.

Candidates applying for this role must be CRB checked. Housing qualifications are welcome but prior experience of doing the job counts for more.
