Income Recovery Jobs
Working with tenants who live in subsidized housing, usually lower income or Housing Benefit, is the domain of income recovery jobs. The tenants are not considered to be vulnerable, merely needing extra assistance from the state to be able to attain suitable accommodation.
Know your Housing Law to progress in income recovery jobs
A minimum of six months' experience dealing with rent recovery for the housing provider. Either chasing small debt or following cases through to court, serving NSP’s and ultimately evictions if required. A good working knowledge of Housing Law, processes and procedures is desirable.
In the main time served and proven track record dealing with Generic Housing or specifically rent arrears , a track record or reducing caseloads and pursuing issues to court where necessary.
