Nonsuch High School for Girls is an 11-19, selective grammar school located in Cheam, Surrey. The school holds a recently re-designated Specialist Science College status, along with the Sportsmark Award, and the Schools’ Achievement Awards.
At Nonsuch, each individual is encouraged to reach her highest levels of academic and personal achievement whilst remaining aware and respectful of the needs of others. Our fulfilment of these aims is evident in our consistently good examination results, the successful careers of our ex-pupils, a strong commitment to social service and the wide range of creative, spiritual, cultural and sporting activities within the school. Ongoing links with the local community include volunteering and work experience as well as joint activities.
Nonsuch is ranked among the top performing schools in the country. HMI has listed the school on its “Particularly Successful Schools” list in 1998 and 2004. With a Sixth Form of 330 students, Nonsuch is able to offer 27 different AS/AL courses whilst providing individual care and guidance in tutorial groups. Over 95% of our students go on to study university courses.

Excellent facilities at Nonsuch support a high quality of teaching and learning across the curriculum. New entrants quickly settle and enjoy extra-curricular societies including Astronomy, Dance, Drama, and many sports. The school has superb PE facilities. Private access to the David Lloyd Leisure Centre swimming-pool supplements our all-weather pitch, courts and fields. With an enthusiasm for music, Nonsuch provides opportunities to take part in many choirs, orchestras and chamber groups as well as the wind band.
We value the student voice. Sixth formers are represented by their own Association and play an invaluable part - in a number of roles - in wider school life. Students in the main school contribute, through the School Council, to the development of the school. Nonsuch is a vibrant community where learning is fun and achievements are celebrated.
