Working alongside clients and architects to offer a consultancy service to maximise efficiencies and share best practice, sustainability engineers are passionate about the way in which design can reduce carbon emissions.
The route to success in sustainability jobs
To succeed in this field, you will typically:
- be a Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, or equivalent.
- have experience of BREEAM or international equivalents such as HQE, LEED or other environmental assessment tools
- have a strong knowledge of the lifecycles of projects
- hold a passionate interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
- be able to demonstrate technical excellence in sustainable engineering
