Excellent IT skills needed for document controller jobs
Document Controllers manage the uploading and downloading of drawings and other documents to dedicated project websites. Good IT skills are needed, typically Word, Excel and the internet with emphasis on use of spreadsheets and databases.
Key responsibilities for document control jobs include: learning to use conversion software to Convert CAD drawings to various file formats and uploading them as required; updating and maintaining the group technical library; distributing, filing and archiving of drawings.
Offsite and onsite practice and site secretary jobs
Practice Secretaries need to be organised with advanced computer skills (Mac an advantage) including desktop publishing, good telephone manner, database and monitoring updates, audio/touch typing and able to multi-task on a variety of different levels on all sorts of different projects.
Site secretaries are based on the project site and manage the day-to-day administrative duties in the office. Their remit includes managing the office admin as there may be a requirement for the Site to be audited (for compliance with Standards).
